WaveLink VI ("we", "us") operates a boat charter booking marketplace serving the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and an optional emergency contact, provided when you create an account.
• Booking information — trips you book, guest names for liability waivers, pickup locations, and special requests.
• Payment references — payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers; we store only processor tokens and receipt amounts.
• Vessel owner documents — owners who list a vessel may upload registration and insurance documents. These are stored privately and viewed only by our verification team.
• Messages — support conversations and trip chats with your assigned captain, kept so we can operate your booking.

How we use it

• To operate bookings: confirmations, receipts, waivers, captain assignment, and trip communication.
• To send service notifications you have enabled (booking updates, payment confirmations, trip reminders, marine weather alerts).
• To verify vessel listings meet registration and insurance requirements.
• To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations (e.g. signed liability waivers).

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not store card numbers.

Sharing

Booking details are shared only with the parties needed to run your trip: your assigned captain, the vessel owner (trip date and party size), and our payment processor (Stripe). We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep booking and waiver records as long as required for legal and insurance purposes. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@wavelinkvi.com; we delete personal data not subject to a legal retention requirement.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and contact details in the app at any time.
• Turn email and push notifications on or off in Profile → Notification Preferences.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data via support.

Children

WaveLink VI accounts are for adults 18+. Guest names for waivers may include minors travelling with a booking adult; we collect no other information about them.

Changes

We will post any material changes to this policy here and note the new effective date.
